We wish we were joking...
You might have heard of 'No Nut November (NNN),' the popular internet trend where men pledge to abstain from ejaculating for the month of November, in part to build self-control and manage sex addiction. While we're not ones to police self-pleasure, this year, we're challenging the Australian pork industry to take part in NNN. But instead of refraining from touching themselves, we're asking them to keep their hands off the genitals of male pigs.
Seems pretty easy right?

Over 90% of pig farms use artificial insemination to impregnate female pigs (sows). Semen is first collected from boars who spend the majority of their lives in small stalls at specialised boar farms, or at some standard piggeries.
Workers will train young boars to mount a 'dummy sow' by first using a real sow to arouse him.
His semen, the semen of other boars or saliva from a sow will be rubbed onto the dummy and he will be encouraged to mount and thrust.
Boars used for breeding will be brought into a small pen and forced to mount the dummy. A worker will rub at their genital area until their penis begins to emerge. The worker will then manually force the boar to ejaculate and collect his semen.
This will be done up to three times a week for each boar.
Often, boars will resist as they are brought into the pens, refusing to mount the dummy even as they are shoved and hit by the worker.
Boars will spend the rest of their time in small stalls, which are barely as wide as their bodies and allow only a few small steps forward and backwards. At two years old, they will be sent to the slaughterhouse.
All of this is completely legal and standard practice...
The sexual exploitation of animals by humans is standard across almost all animal use industries. It's time to ban ALL bestiality in Australia.

Open letter to Australian pig farmers,
This month, Farm Transparency Project released new footage showing semen collection from boars at an Australian pig farm. The footage shows a worker pushing pigs to mount a 'dummy sow,' before manually masturbating them until they ejaculate. Also published was footage showing the 'training' of boars by using a female pig to sexually arouse them, then forcing them to mount the dummy.
Often, boars will resist as they are brought into the pens, refusing to mount the dummy even as they are shoved and hit by the worker.
I am joining Farm Transparency Project and others in calling on pig farmers to participate in No Nut November, an abstinence challenge which calls on people to avoid ejaculation for a single month. In this case, we are calling on Australian pig farmers to resist masturbating boars for the entire month of November, in the hopes that this will give the Australian Pork industry an opportunity to reflect on whether industry approved bestiality is in line with societal expectations.
We encourage you to take the pledge by publicly announcing your commitment to not forcing pigs to ejaculate or sexually touching pigs for the entire month of November.
I suggest that you use the month to explore and understand consensual sex acts and maybe consider self-pleasure in the future, rather than forcing non-consenting pigs to ejaculate for your benefit.
Regards,
Farm Transparency Project

The founding director of animal protection organisation Farm Transparency Project (FTP), Chris Delforce, has been raided by Victoria Police at his Melbourne home this morning, in relation to footage of animal cruelty captured earlier this year at twenty piggeries in the state's north. Delforce's electronic devices including phones and laptops have been seized. The footage, captured by a large number of anonymous activists and provided to FTP, revealed widespread suffering, neglect, and potential breaches of animal welfare legislation, including: Pigs living in extreme confinement in their own waste, including in "sow stalls" claimed by the industry to...

Footage showing pigs suffering from the infectious disease mange, sporting pus-filled abscesses, being cannibalised, and preyed upon by cats and rats, with others confined to 'sow stall' cages, has been released by animal advocacy group Farm Transparency Project. The footage was filmed at five Victorian piggeries, which were visited by unknown investigators who filmed inside 20 piggeries across the weekend of the 18th & 19th January, before anonymously providing video and photos to Farm Transparency Project. The latest footage to be released is from piggeries in Whroo, Yarrawalla, Woodstock West, Macorna and Rushworth. Animal protection organisation Farm Transparency has published footage...
