Handheld Footage - November 2023

Calivil breeder facility was visited by investigators in November 2023. At the time, it was owned by Australian Food Group, the same company who owned and operated Australian Food Group slaughterhouse in Laverton. This pig slaughterhouse was where FTP investigator Chris Delforce hid above the gas chamber for over 9 hours, filming the horrific deaths of hundreds of pigs. After this footage was released, AFG were ordered by Victorian slaughterhouse regulator PrimeSafe to install cameras in their chamber as a condition of their license. They instead opted to shut down the pig slaughter element of their business. The facility has since been sold.

Calivil Breeder is now owned by Rivalea Australia, one of Australia's largest producers of pig meat.
