These wooden hutches are 32"x56" inches and the calves are in these hutches for about 3 months without getting out. No bedding. Not a lot of protection from the elements. They are unable to walk more than 2 steps for that time and as they grow they cannot move forward or back at all. This is the California (and Arizona) dairy industry.
