Mt Barker Chicken
Milne AgriGroup Pty Ltd's Mt Barker Chicken is a Western Australian free-range chicken operation, commenced in 2001 in the Great Southern region around the Mt Barker township.
Chickens are raised on farms in the Great Southern region and killed at a facility in Kendenup. Sales, marketing and further processing are conducted from East Rockingham near Perth. Mt Barker Chicken claims to be the first meat chicken producer in Australia to receive RSPCA Approved certification, and claims to be the only producer meeting the RSPCA's outdoor free-range standard.
Products are distributed primarily across Western Australia through major supermarkets, butchers and restaurants, with some distribution into eastern states.
No annual kill figure has been publicly disclosed.
Mt Barker is a trading name of Milne Agrigroup. ABN and ACN are the same.
