Turosi Farming Pty Ltd is the farming and slaughtering entity within the Turosi group, operating under the trading names La Ionica, Golden Farms, Bannockburn, Colonial Farm, Crystal Poultry and Gourmet Cuisine.
The company operates two chicken slaughterhouses in Victoria — in Thomastown and Breakwater, Geelong — as well as breeder farms, hatcheries and broiler growing operations across Victoria.
The Thomastown facility kills over 500,000 birds per week under the La Ionica and Bannockburn brands; the Geelong facility kills approximately 400,000 birds per week under the Golden Farms brand. Combined, the two facilities kill in excess of 900,000 birds per week, or approximately 47 million per year.
The company contracts over 100 broiler growers and is a subsidiary of Turosi Pty Ltd, itself formed in 2018 through the merger of family-owned Turi Foods and OSI International Foods Australia.
