Multiquip Poultry Pty Ltd

Multiquip Poultry Pty Ltd is a national poultry services company founded in 1984 by Steve and Lucy Mikosic, operating across the full chicken supply chain in Australia.

The company collects fertilised eggs from breeder farms and delivers them to its commercial hatchery at Maldon near Picton, NSW, which exploits in excess of 2 million birds per week. Day-old chicks are then transported to broiler farms across the country.

Multiquip also operates a large fleet of feed delivery trucks servicing farms nationally, and separate fleets of live-haul trucks — operating mostly at night — that collect fully grown chickens from farms and transport them to abattoirs for killing, resulting in the catching and delivering of over 6 million live birds per week in total. Refrigerated vehicles then distribute dead birds from abattoirs to customers.

The company employs approximately 1,200 people across around 16 depots nationally and also manufactures poultry equipment including egg incubators and shed infrastructure. Confirmed processor clients include Inghams, Baiada and Cordina. Multiquip operates as a service provider across the supply chains of multiple processors simultaneously.
