Smoke could still be seen rising from the rubble of a fire at the Red Bird Egg Farm Tuesday afternoon. Surviving chickens walked past the debris and around the farm, some hiding in brush along the property's edge.

Roughly 200,000 chickens died in the fire while another 80,000 were killed when a neighboring building lost power, according to reports from CBS-3 in Philadelphia. Fans in the building were then unable to cool the chickens, who couldn't survive the combination of heat from the nearby fire and a hot evening.

The fire broke out around 8:30 p.m. Monday, with one barn fully engulfed in flames and the fire spreading to a neighboring barn.
