Man hospitalized after being struck by bull at rodeo in the Bronx, police say

BAYCHESTER, The Bronx (WABC) -- A man was hospitalized after he was thrown from a bull in front of a stunned audience at a rodeo in the Bronx.

The bull bucked so hard that the man in his thirties was slammed to the ground at the show on Bruner Ave in Baychester on Sunday.

The bull then viciously attacked the man, causing cuts to his face. An off-duty EMT ran to help the man until an ambulance arrived. The EMT says the man was talking and alert despite the attack.

The man was taken to the hospital where he is recovering.
