Racehorses allegedly shot multiple times as RSPCA launches investigation into Victorian horse dealer
A Victorian horse dealer is under investigation after animal welfare advocates released confronting vision of animals allegedly being killed before being taken to a slaughterhouse.
The graphic vision, captured by the Farm Transparency Project, depicts thoroughbred and standardbred horses being shot inside holding pens on a property near Shepparton, before their bodies are allegedly transported to the farm owner's knackery.
The animal welfare group claims the animals were being slaughtered on a property not licensed for commercial slaughter, allegations which have been referred to authorities.
