FTP Pig Industry Awards - 2025

Farm Transparency Project awarded four Victorian piggeries the prize for Outstanding Cruelty to Pigs. Anonymous activists downloaded the certificates from the FTP website and hand-delivered them to the piggeries.
Second Place - Van Der Drift & Sons: This giant piggery was found to be infested with cockroaches and flies, with piglets suffering from mange while another was found with their leg trapped between the metal bars of a farrowing crate floor. The dead sows found dumped outside were, impressively, just the tip of the iceberg, with paperwork indicating that a sow died almost every day last year.
