High Court battle: Animal cruelty and the public's right to know

We need your help in this fight.

In 2025, a judgment was made by the Federal Court of Australia, which blocked our ability to release hidden camera footage of animal cruelty. In December last year, we were informed by the High Court of Australia that our request for appeal had been granted.

The Game Meats Company in Eurobin, Victoria, is going to throw everything they have at this case. They want to maintain the injunction blocking us from showing the public what happens at their slaughterhouse.

We are going to fight them every step of the way. We believe the public has a Right to Know what happens behind the walls of these cruel facilities. The precedent set by blocking our footage from publication is incredibly dangerous for media freedoms in this country. So we will be doing everything we can to win this.

But we cannot do it alone. Undergoing an appeal in the High Court is incredibly rare, and incredibly costly. We have estimated it will require at least $150,000 to cover our legal fees for this case. But the cost is worth it.

For all the animals killed at the Game Meats Company, and for every animal exploited and abused in farms and slaughterhouses across Australia, we must win this appeal.
Please donate to our crowdfunder and share this as far as you can. We cannot do this without your help.

Thank you for your support.
