Throwing in Race

Whipped, hit, thrown, dragged, stunned and stuck. No animal walks willingly to their death, they are always forced 🐐🐑

The race connects the holding pens of MD Foods Australia to the rest of the facility. As the animals are brought up the race, they are already stressed from the loud noises, shouting and whipping used to move them towards the restraint.

This leads them to panic and jump out of the restraint, slowing operations. The workers corner the animals, roughly grabbing and throwing them back onto the restraint to continue killing as quickly as possible.

Once inside, some goats and sheep manage to leap onto the kill floor, although all are eventually caught and dragged, terrified and covered in blood, back outside to the start of the restraint. Unable to escape again, they will be electrically stunned and then slaughtered 💔

This chaos and cruelty is a result of an industry that sees animals as objects to be dominated and killed for financial gain.

It's time to shut down slaughterhouses ✊
