Hidden camera angle - scalding tank

After stunning and sticking, pigs are dropped into a large tank of very hot water, to soften their skin and hair and to prepare their corpses for further processing. A 2023 investigation found that multiple pigs appeared to enter the scalding tank while still displaying signs of consciousness, likely drowning in agony.
