The footage shows pigs will in filthy sheds, often fighting due to the cramped conditions. Investigators filmed injured, lame and bloody pigs, as well as one pig with a swollen, misshapen ear due to a hematoma. These intelligent, curious animals were seen chewing at the bars of their pens and trying to play with hoses and other bits of rubbish, desperate for any sort of stimulation in the bare pens.
