Menzel's Meats Knockbox (Cows)

At Menzel's Meats, cows are herded into the knockbox, generally in pairs. They are often kept in the confined space for long periods of time and are observed looking for a way out. They are then shot with a rifle to paralyse them and tipped out into the kill room where their throats are slit. Footage shows occasions where stunning is unsuccessful and cows have to be shot for a second or third time in order to render them unconscious.
