Thomas Foods International - Murray Bridge Abbatoir
Record as at 2 June 2026.
The Pallamana abattoir at Temora Way, Pallamana, near Murray Bridge, South Australia, is Thomas Foods International's beef and small stock slaughterhouse, registered as export-licensed facility establishment number 8883 under South Australian EPA Licence 51656. Built on a greenfield site about 10 kilometres outside Murray Bridge, it replaced TFI's original Murray Bridge slaughterhouse destroyed by fire in January 2018.
Stage one was completed in May 2023, commissioned with a capacity to kill up to 600 cattle per day. The master plan provides for expansion to 1,200 cattle and 15,000 sheep and lambs per day in later stages.
Cattle killed at Pallamana are primarily sourced from TFI's own Southern Cross feedlot at Tintinara, which holds up to 27,000 head.
